Angels Around Her

My mom loved to collect angels. Porcelain, paper, pictures, you name it. We presented her with a curio cabinet one Christmas to display them in. She filled it up right away. The angels spilled out into all corners of the house, down the hallway and into the bedrooms. They gave her much comfort, and the memory comforts me to this day. When she was losing her battle with cancer in 2003, I was telling Billy about my mom’s angel collection. We found a song in there. It was not the easiest to get through in the studio, but so glad we included it on the record. My mom continues to bless my life.

I was barely sweet 16, no one could tell me anything
